Andrew finds inspiration for his interest in light and atmosphere in landscape in East Anglia, France, Italy, and even Egypt. His work can be seen in many prominent galleries countrywide and has been purchased for public, private and royal collections, both at home and overseas.

His professional career began after studying Fine Art at Hornsey College, London. Upon graduation he was awarded a ‘David Murray’ scholarship, (landscape painting), by the Royal Academy School. Andrew has exhibited with ‘The Royal Institute of Oil Painters’ (ROI) since 1985 when he was a finalist for the ‘Windsor & Newton Young Artists Award’, and the following year he was made an associate member of the society. In 1992 he was elected to full membership and has served on the council.

Andrew has had work selected many times for exhibition at The Mall Galleries, London, including the ‘Britain in Watercolours’ exhibition, the ‘National Society’, (elected a member in 1984), the ‘Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours’, the ‘New English Art Club’, the ‘Royal Society of Portrait Painters’ and ‘The Royal Society of Marine Artists’.
